National Association of Competitive Mounted Orienteering

Competitive Mounted Orienteering (NACMO) is one of the most challenging and exciting equestrian sports - for the competitive as well as family horse rider.

In CMO each competitor is given a map at the starting line marked with numbered Objective Stations. An Objective Station is a 9" white paper plate displaying two letters and a station number. On the back of the map, after each station number, are compass bearings taken TO or FROM identifiable landmark clues. A circle indicates the approximate area on the map where the objective stations are located.

NACMO The object of the sport is to ride out as an individual or a team and find as many of the Objective Stations as you can and get back in the shortest amount of time, on either a long or short course.

The website serves as the information management system for this very distributed group of state riding chapters and their members. The site features the NACMO state riding schedules, special features, application forms and a dynamic ride results system.

Riders can monitor their standings relative to their own state competitors and the national organization as a whole dynamically all through their long competitive season.
